Gate Access to Nyang Nyang Beach
Previously, as far as I know, there was only one access to get to the shore of Nyang-Nyang beach. However, currently, there are two accesses to Nyang-Nyang beach Uluwatu. Namely, gate access to the west side and the east side.
For beach path from the east side is access to Nunggalan Uluwatu beach. Nunggalan beach and Nyang-Nyang beach are on the same coastline, but the beach’s name is different. Therefore, if you enter from the east side, you will arrive at Nunggalan beach Uluwatu. Then you need to walk heading west to reach Nyang Nyang beach.

West Side Entrance Access
I was surprised when I returned to visit Nyang-Nyang beach after so many years of not visiting. Currently, there is an adequate road from the top of the cliff to the beach. However, the access road is still a concrete road with a fairly steep descent. Also, the road width is not too wide.
In the past, to reach the Nyang Nyang beach from the top of the cliff, I had to go down a calcareous path.
The width of the access road is not too wide, and the descent is very steep, so the best transportation down the access road to the beach is by scooter. If you drive a car, it’s a good idea to park your car at the top and then walk down this concrete road about 500 meters.
After you descend the concrete road, you will see a motorbike parking area and a parking location adjacent to the beach. You only need to go down a few steps to get to the Nyang Nyang beach shoreline from the beachfront parking location.
On the east side of the motorbike parking area, you will find a stall selling drinks and snacks. For drinks, this beachside stall provides cold beer and whole young coconut.

Best Time To Visit Nyang Nyang Beach
There are two best times to visit Nyang Nyang Beach Uluwatu. That is in the morning or in the afternoon to avoid the sun’s scorching heat.
If you visit in the morning, it’s an excellent idea to come and arrive at Nyang Nyang Beach before sunrise, around 05:30 am. Even though the coastline faces the south side, from the top of the cliff, you can see the bias of the dawn.
After the sky starts to clear, you can go down the concrete road heading to the beach. In the morning, Nyang Nyang beach is tranquil, and you will feel like you are on a private beach.
